Projects

1.

Investigation of affective and cognitive consequences of emotion regulation (using ERP and fMRI):

We are investigating the extent to which individuals modulate emotion generation processes and how such modulation influences affective experience and other cognitive processes.

2.

Investigation of explicit and implicit mechanisms of emotion regulation:

We develop techniques to modulate emotions explicitly and implicitly and test their effects on neural and behavioral domains of emotion.

3.

Investigation of the effect of brain stimulation on behavior and neural information processing (using rTMS and tDCS techniques):

We conduct research to examine how brain stimulation influences emotional information processing in the brain.

4.

Neural and cognitive characterization of emotional disorders.

We investigate defining characteristics of broadly defined emotional disorders such as media addiction and self-control deficits using neuroimaging and behavioral methods.
